Katarina Witt was born the 3rd of December, 1965 in Staaken, East Germany. In her quest for new challenges, Katarina Witt opens new fields of work and gains experience in different disciplines like producing and figure skating. Katarina Witt ended her amateur career in 1988 following the World Championships. Her first trip as a co-headliner as a professional Canada and the US over the following three year together with World Champion Brian Boitano. The event is so successful that Madison Square Garden, New York sells out a show of figure skating for the first time in the last ten years. 1993-94 saw her return to amateur sport and into the spotlight to compete three times as an athlete at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994. Then, for 10 years she tours North America as the star of "Champions on Ice" and"Champions on Ice, "Stars on Ice" and"Stars on Ice "Champions on Ice Tour" as well as other shows of figure skating. She also competes in many international professional events. She creates headlines and concept ideas for, and produces many shows on ice that are international in her own company, WITHWITT. It sets new standards in the world of skating, and produces live events such as "Divas on Ice", "Katarina & Friends", "Enjoy the Stars" and "Winter The Magic" for US and German television.
