Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman, who has numerous publications and many awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous national and global distinctions. She has offered consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments across the world. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
